Hi! I'm Alyssa (Pronouns She/Her) and I am a 19-year-old college student. Some of my interests include reading, writing, watching movies and television, listening to music, basically anything related to media and culture! Over the past few years, I have gained an interest in feminism and women's rights. I'm starting this blog because I'm working on a final project for my gender studies class. I wanted to create something where I can write and analyze, but also provide a personal framework. My topic will be focused on feminism- specifically issues and aspects of it using media as a "medium". Some of my posts will highlight a specific phenomenon either in film or overall culture. I wanted to combine my interests with my academics so I can truly combine theory with practice!
